My first layer of paint, you can see the use of greens, yellows, and greys that i’m using to build up colour and texture. This first layer i’ve worked with a palette knife because I want impasto style (which basically mean a way of applying paint, specifically a thick textured application of paint where the brush or palette strokes stay visible).
