Over the past week i’ve been really struggling with which direction to go with my project - we have had so many workshops in completely different styles that it’s kind of confused me and i’ve been unable to concentrate on a idea for my project, i’ve been juggling around the idea of recreating my photos using paint - but I feel that i’m not using the workshop resources enough so i’ve been going crazy trying to think of how, everything I have been taught over the past few weeks, and what i’ve gathered, connects. Reading back through my notes texture is the key thing i’m interested in and my main focus is deffinately the snake skin i’ve collected and it’s putting these two together to start thinking about my proposal and what I plan on creating by the end of the brief, and i’ve decided to start focusing on the pattern the skin creates. I can use the photoshop/illustrator workshops to create designs, and use the lazer cutter to experiment. I can also carry on working in the ceramics studio experimenting with how to recreate my snake skin with man made material (which is more harder than it seems because it is so delicate!) And again this is something I can explore more in the metal workshops. I feel like my next step is to get a collection of drawings together based on the snakeskin and possible some photos and use them monday afternoon to develop these on the computers.
